Dr. Jalaa Assad Taher is the current Manager of Non-Communicable Disease Department, of the Public Health and Research Division of Health Authority – Abu Dhabi. She has nearly 21years of extensive experience in the Abu Dhabi health sector.
Dr. Jalaa served Health Authority – Abu Dhabi in various roles as Head of Cancer Control & Prevention; Senior Program Manager for the Global Initiative for Breast Cancer Awareness in partnership with Susan G. Komen and the Institute of International Education in San Francisco, USA; and Breast Clinician and First Reader for Mammograms in the National Women & Child Health Center (MoH). She was also the Senior House Officer for General Surgery at Al Jazeira and Central Hospitals for six years.
Dr. Jalaa holds a Master of Public Health (M.P.H.) degree in Healthcare Leadership & Management from John Hopkins University, A Master of Science Degree in Mother & Child Health from the University of London’s Institute of Child Health, and a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the College of Medicine & Medical Sciences of King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia.
